Hi there! I’m the author of Ordinary Omens, a poetry collection that was recently released September 15th, 2024, thanks to The Poetry Box® Press.

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, and attended several universities before moving to the Pacific Northwest to earn my MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University.

​

My poems have made their way into various magazines and online spots like The Artistic Muse, The Lake, Fox Adoption Magazine, The Pacific Northwest Inlander, Plants & Poetry Journal, and more.

In recent years I returned to the Midwest, bringing my passion for writing and creating with me.

 

Currently, I spend most days caring for my daughter and exploring the natural wonders of our lake country home. I’m always seeking inspiration from the outside world, both as a poet and a freelance writer.

Throughout my career, I’ve strived to blend factual reporting with creative storytelling, bringing my interests and personality into everything I do. This approach has led to some unique job experiences, like performing as a mermaid!
